A mid-1800’s architectural wonder helped make Chicago the city it is today.  The 96-mile Illinois & Michigan Canal (I&M Canal) connected the Great Lakes in Bridgeport, Chicago to the Illinois River at LaSalle-Peru, and amazingly unique towns sprung up that maintain their authentic charm to this date.

A Sneak Peek at the Progress on Lock and Mule

 

Tangled Roots shared some photos from Kevin Miller showing the inside of the new Lock & Mule restaurant and brewery in Lockport, IL.  We can't wait to try the new menu and some amazing beers from this location.

One of the big features of this new restaurant is an enormous wood-fired grill.  Just think about your steak and locally-sourced fresh veggies just roading on that grill.
