Yuck, that's gross! Sometimes nature can be yucky, but it can be cool too. Find out how owls form pellets, turkey vultures cool down in the heat, baby birds are fed, an other fun animal facts.

Naturalists will guide children through a fun storybook into an educational program on the yucky part of nature. After, they will participate in an activity where they can dissect an owl pellet and make scat lookalikes out of candy! (Pellets are sterilized ahead of time and safety precautions such as glasses, gloves, and masks will be worn).

This program is suitable for children ages 3 to 10. Parents or guardians must chaperone their children at all times. The program is free but donations are welcome. Please register ahead of time by emailing Lisa.sons@illinois.gov.
