Our new exhibit examines one of the most defining moments in Lockport’s history—the 1895 fire that not only ravaged the city’s downtown but also led to the establishment of the Lockport Fire Department. The story is brought to life by the amazing chalk illustrations of artist Kevin Traynor, whose drawings capture glimpses of local life before, during, and after the catastrophic fire.
