A mid-1800’s architectural wonder helped make Chicago the city it is today.  The 96-mile Illinois & Michigan Canal (I&M Canal) connected the Great Lakes in Bridgeport, Chicago to the Illinois River at LaSalle-Peru, and amazingly unique towns sprung up that maintain their authentic charm to this date.

Go Back In Time With Pontiac’s New Holiday Window Exhibits

Come experience what life was like back in the 1800s at Pontiac’s newest holiday attraction and activity, “Costumes and Characters of A Christmas Carol.”

 

The exhibit is showcased at the Pontiac Oakland Automobile Museum and will be up for display into January 2021. 

 

Explore as you watch each story come to life with 11 beautifully dressed characters in authentic Victorian clothing. 

 

This window exhibit is the start of their “A Christmas Carol Holiday Story Trail.” After exploring the exhibit, you and your family can read their stories with the one page displays at 12 stops throughout the downtown area. 

 

Each page is beautifully illustrated and features language for all ages to understand and is mountain on exterior windows. 

 

This is a great outdoor activity to enjoy this holiday season as a family.
