The Official Destination of National Road Trip Day is Pontiac!

National Road Trip Day 2023 is this Friday, May 26th and the Official Destination is Pontiac, IL!

The Friday before Memorial Day is declared National Road Trip Day and serves as the official kickoff of the summer road trip season. Millions of Americans hit the road each year over the long weekend, visiting friends and family while paying tribute to our American heroes.

Beginning at 11 am, join hundreds of classic and modern cars as they kick off the weekend with an official destination proclamation at Wally's in Pontiac. Afterward, travel along Route 66 and explore the hidden treasures and museums along the way!
