Free Winter Programs at Starved Rock State Park – Jan-March 2022

Get active and get out to explore the beauty of nature even during the wintertime at Starved Rock State Park and Matthiessen State Park. In 2022 both parks will be offering FREE programs for you to sign up for. Gather your family and friends and begin your next adventure.

• Live Birds of Prey Show, January 2nd, at 1:30 p.m. Starved Rock Visitor Center. (Requires registration)
• Starved Rock Saplings Story Time: Bald Eagles. January 8th, at 9 a.m. Starved Rock Visitor Center. (Email [email protected])
• Starved Rock Eagle Watch Weekend, January 29th & 30th. Guided Eagle Tours at 11 a.m. & 1 p.m. Starved Rock Visitor Center. (Required registration)

February 2022

• Midwest Ice Climbing Presentation, February 6th, at 1:30 p.m. Starved Rock Visitor Center.

• Flights of Fancy, Bird Photography Show, March 1st-31st, Entry Forms Required. Starved Rock Visitor Center. (Required entry form)
• Starved Rock Murders by Steve Stout, March 6th, at 1:30 p.m. Starved Rock Visitor Center. (Required registration)
• Spring Equinox Night Hike, March 18th, 7 p.m. Ottawa and Kaskaskia Canyons. (Required registration)
