Home for the Holidays

With the many events happening during the holidays, it can be difficult to choose something. Do you want to catch a classic Christmas movie with friends and family? Experience a stage performance like no other? Take the family out to pictures with Santa? No matter the event, the Rialto Square Theatre has you covered. This winter, visit the Rialto for evenings of movies, workshops, social gatherings, and live music. Kid or adult, Home for the Holidays has festivities for everyone to enjoy.

A Charlie Brown Christmas: November 30th, 6:30pm

• The classic movie A Charlie Brown Christmas is coming live November 30th. Recreate the nostalgia from your favorite scenes and join Charlie Brown this Christmas for an evening of music, fun, and Christmas spirit. After the show, the audience will be invited to come on stage and join Peanuts and the gang in singing traditional Christmas songs and carols.  

Alton Brown Live: beyond the Eats - The Holiday Variant: December 1st, 7:30pm

• Television personality, author, Food Network and Netflix star Alton Brown is coming to the Rialto. This show will be like none other. Prepare for a show that Brown describes as "more cooking, more comedy, more music, and more potentially dangerous science stuff with a sprinkle of spices." 

Santa's Secret Workshop: December 4th, 1:00pm

• Bring the young ones to an afternoon of Christmas craft and gifts druing Santa's Secret Workshop. During the workshop, kids will have the oppurunity to create a secret Christmas gift to give to a special person and meet Santa Claus. For the parents, enjoy an hour of Christmas bingo and socializing. 

Home Alone: December 4th, 7:00pm

• Come sit back and enjoy a holiday classic. Tickets are $5 each, and will be available the day-of at the Rialto Square Theatre Box Office. Bar and concessions will be available for purchase.

The Midtown Men - Holiday Hits: December 10th, 8:00pm

• The reuniting stars from the Broadway smash hit JERSEY BOYS, will ring this season with their Holiday Hits. This will be an evening filled with songs such as "Winter Wonderland,: "Let it Snow," and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." 

American Legion Band Concert: December 11th, 2:00pm

• The Joliet American Legion Band will bring holiday sounds to the Rialto. Filled with tradition, military sharpness and muscial integrity, these muscians will give you an unforgettable expereince. 

Merry Little Soiree feat. Nova Soul: December 13th - 15th, 7:15pm

• Start the evenng with a cocktail hour featuring Nova Soul and then be escorted to your Cabaret-style table of two where you will be served a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine from local wineries. 

It's a Wonderful Life: December 18th, 1:00pm

• Tickets are $5 each, and will be available the day-of at the Rialto Square Theatre Box Office. Bar and concesions will be available for purchase.
