Local Meets Europe

Tangled Roots' Intercontinental Pilsner blends the local malts and hops grown on their Ottawa, IL-farm with hops from Germany.  You will get a mild but noticably hop bitterness with crisp taste, with notes and aroma of light-floral, citrus, and melon.  Not pictured is Belgian Wit, which is a refreshing number perfect for summer.  Both are available in all three Tangled Roots locations.

All About the Details at Black Horizon

First, notice the can art.  The beer flows into the Reaper's mouth, then down right through it.  Nicely done.  Black Horizon gets all of the details right, and that's what maximizes the flavor of their brews.  Quiet Contemplation is one of those beers.  They nail the stout, and it tastes like a cinnamon-spiced cold brew coffee.  In fact, it's a milk stout with huge notes of cinnamon spice, milk chocolate, creamy vanilla and smooth cold brew coffee.

The Gelatinous Cube is back!

Miskatonic's uniquely-named, Cinnamon-Mocha inspired, Imperial Milk Stout is back!  We first saw Gelatinous Cube in May of 2019.  This beer is loaded with cold brew coffee from Modest Coffee with a splash of cassia bark.  The brew itself saw on some coacoa nibs as well for a smooooooth finish.

The Cards are Stacked Again at Pollyanna

In The Cards is Pollyanna's Hazy APA and is back in stock in Lemont, Roselle, and St. Charles.  Not only that, Amber Pines Amber Ale has made a quick return at all three locations.

A big release day from Rt66 Old School Brewing!

• Holiday Road (Collab with Blue Island Beer Company) - An India Pale Lager that's light, hoppy, and refreshing.
• Millrace Porter - This porter is toasty, chocolatey, and dark.
• Crooked Little Smile - Wheat Ale infused with Blood Orange
• Creature from the Kankakee - Imperial stout with hints of espesso, chocolate chips, and toffee.

The First Hot Sauce to Appear on the Ale Trail

Nik & Ivy Brewing teamed up with Gindo's Hot Sauce to create a Dellwood IPA-infused hot sauce!  The description:  Pine and citrus aromas combine with tart black cherries, fresh pineapple and blood orange.  The result is a citrusy fruit forward, beer infused habanero hot sauce.

Don't Blink on this One

Skeleton Key's Don't Blink, Scottish-style Ale is back on tap!  This time - NITRO!!!  It's truly tasty, incredibly drinkable and refreshing.  It has a lovely malt backbone, soft mouthfeel, and creamy head.

A Dry City and Metal Monkey Collab

World, meet Kaiju Senso.  This Dark Belgian Stronge Ale has notes of caramel, mollasses, subtle bready and woody ntoes, and an unmistakeable estery goodness from the Belgian yeast strain.

Skeleton Key With a Saturday Double

On Saturday, both Cold Fresh Joy and 7th Evil Ex will be on tap and in cans at Skeleton Key Brewery.  Cold Fresh Joy is a Helles Lager, a clean, crisp beer accented with bready malt notes.  7th Evil Ex is a Schwarzbier (Black LAger) that is crisp and dark, with roasty notes and light body.
