Joliet

Stone & Steel Spook 5K

Date: Oct. 6, 2024

Location: Downtown Joliet

Details: The Joliet City Center Partnership (CCP) is excited to host the 3rd annual Stone & Steel Spooky 5K on Sunday, October 6th, 2024 at 8 a.m. This chip-timed race starts in Downtown Joliet and runs through the Joliet Iron Works Historic Site. 

 

Lemont

Scarecrow Fest

Date: Sep. 21, 2024

Location: Lemont Township Community Center

Details: LJWC and Lemont Township present Scarecrow Fest - with free admission! Bring the whole family for games, Lemont Tractor Club hay rides, DJ, Library storytime, and food for purchase. There will be fall fun for all ages!

 

Monster and Me Mile Fun Run

Date: Sep. 21, 2024

Location: The Lemont Township Community Center Heritage Trail

Details: Join the Lemont Juniorettes for the Monster and Me Mile Fun Run! The mile long run follows our Scarecrow trail located at the The Lemont Township Community Center. Medals awarded to all participants. Run begins at 12 pm sharp.

 

Ottawa

Scarecrow Fest

Date: Sep. 28, 2024

Location: Downtown Ottawa

Details: The long standing Ottawa Scarecrow Fest returns to Downtown Ottawa with activities for the entire family. Stroll from Washington Park to the Jordan block visiting craft vendors, trying a great variety of food (including freshly made apple cider donuts!), and listening to live music. Plus, the kids can enjoy pumpkin painting and other free crafts, games, and fun entertainers before walking around to view this year's Scarecrow Competition entries throughout Downtown!

 

Fall Festival and Parade

Date: Sep. 29, 2024

Location: Downtown Ottawa

Details: The parade begins at noon and will start at the 800 block of LaSalle Street and will travel down to the Jordan block. After the parade join us at the Jordan block from 1pm – 5pm for all sorts of various vendors, food trucks, face painting, balloon artists, circus performers, a magician, a mini train and be sure to check out the main stage for Outer Limits Band and be entertained by the JESSE WHITE TUMBLERS!

 

Wilmington

Harvest Festival Celebration 75 Years

Date: Sep. 28, 2024

Location: Wilmington's North Island Park

Details: Join us in celebrating 75 years of the Wilmington Park District. We want to thank you for 75 years and looking forward to the future of Wilmington. Come down and enjoy live music, kids inflatables and fall themed games, a petting zoo, kids wiffleball tournament, adult cup in hand tournament, and a beer garden.
