Nature Play Day After Hours: ELEX Trail

27064 S Dutton Rd Beecher, IL

Dates: Jun. 11, 2024
Times: 6pm-7:30pm
Location: Goodenow Grove Nature Preserve, 27064 S Dutton Rd, Beecher, IL

We're keeping the nature center open late for this nature-themed program geared toward 3- to 5-year-olds. This month it is all about animal adaptations. What makes animals so good at living in the wild? We will explore the ELEX (Early Learner's Exercise) Trail obstacles at Goodenow Grove. We will attempt to move in the ways different forest animals do. Can you balance on a branch like a bird? Can you move across a web like a spider? Join us to find out!

Fee: Free! Age: Ages 3-5. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.) Registration is required by Sunday, June 9, by calling 708-946-2216 or online.

We encourage experiencing the outdoors rain or shine, so please dress accordingly. Plum Creek Nature Center is an accessible facility. Outdoor activities will take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
