Summer Solstice Paddle

WEBSITE DIRECTIONS
Welcome the first day of summer on the water at Monee Reservoir. This recreational paddle will tour and explore the lake as the sun sets. End the night with a roaring fire and roast some s'mores. BYOB to toast the new season. (Beer and wine only if bringing alcohol.)

Tandem kayaks and canoes are available. Have your own kayak? Bring it out for a reduced fee. Fee: $20 per person; $10 per person without watercraft rental.

Age: Ages 21 or older. Registration by phone required by Monday, June 17: 708-946-2216.

This is a recreational, non-instructional hike on the water. All equipment is provided. Participants should wear clothing that can get wet, including sturdy water shoes. Previous kayaking experience is recommended.

The launch area is easily accessible by a paved sidewalk from the parking lot. Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
