READ ON!Ottawa’s Annual Wine Weekend is back June 5-6, 2021!! It has been renamed Ottawa Uncorked and it is better than ever! Brought to us by the Ottawa Noon Rotary, Floret Events and Illinois Grape Growers and Vintners Alliance, in cooperation with the City of Ottawa and the Ottawa Visitors Center. Blue skies, a warm breeze, music in the air, great food and a sip of #IllinoisWIne is an excellent way to kick off the summer.
You can sample, sip and stock up on amazing local wines from 13 Illinois wineries (Wine taster ticket required). Enjoy pork/pineapple or shrimp/veggie shish kabobs prepared by Ottawa Noon Rotary. Listen to live music on 2 different stages (Washington Park and Jordan Block). Shop local businesses and market vendors on Court Street, in Washington Square Park and the Jordan Block.
There will be many Wineries representing Illinois. Some that call the Heritage Corridor home are Sable Creek Winery and August Hill Winery and Illinois Sparkling Wine Company. Make sure to stop by and say “Hi”.
You can go here to purchase your tickets for both Wine Tasting and Shish Kabobs. Tickets prices range from $9.00-$20.00. Your tickets will include a complimentary event glass and 8 tasting tickets for either Saturday or Sunday. They recommend buying your tickets ahead of time. There will be a $5 day of price increase, but availability will not be guaranteed.
