READ ON!Join the LaSalle County Historical Society for their 3rd Annual Wild Bill Days this Memorial Day weekend. On May 28-29th you can celebrate LaSalle County Native James Butler “Wild Bill” Hickok for a two-day event. There will be a live re-enactment of his life, a special exhibit of Wild Bill artifacts, and family friendly entertainment to get everyone involved.
Wild Bill was known as a folk hero of the American Old West due to the many duties he took on throughout his life as a solider, scout, lawman, gambler, showman, actor, and of course his involvement in many famous gunfights. Come out to learn a little bit of history while having a great time.
