Calling all Wine Enthusiasts

In our previous blog, we discussed memberships of the Ale Trail. This week, we wanted to focus on something different. That is why we have compiled a list of wineries/wine bars of the Heritage Corridor. Many locations not only offer great wine, but also host events and live music performances. If you are a wine enthusiast, these wineries are a must try. You will not be disappointed. 

August Hill Winery & Illinois Sparkling Co. - 106 Mill St. Utica, IL 61373

• Bring your friends to August Hill Winery to enjoy a night of live music and great drinks. In addition, catch August Hill at many liquor tasting across Illinois to get a taste of their delicious wine. August Hill Winery also offers memberships. By joining the Insider's Wine Club, you will earn access to exclusive perks and discounts in the tasting room.

Bishops Hill Winery - 310 Bridge St. Joliet, IL 60435

• Reserve a spot at Bishops Hill for a wine tasting. Along with fantastic wine, Bishops Hill also offers classes. In addition to the wine and charcuterie boards, this class will teach you how to "swirl, sniff, and taste like a pro." Who said that wine and yoga doesn't go together? Mark your spot on selected Saturdays to come in and participate in a yoga session and a glass of wine.

Blue Horse LLC - 115 N. Water St, Wilmington, IL 60481

• Check out Blue Horse Wine and Martini Bar in Wilmington. They offer a variety of wine flights, new martini flavors, and spicy tequila drinks. Enjoy a glass here or buy a bottle to take home.

Cat's Eye - 724 LaSalle St. Ottawa, IL 61350

• Just minutes from Starved Rock is Cat's Eye. This vintage urban bar offers seasonal wine rotations, handcrafted cocktails, and craft beers. Cat's Eye also hosts live music events.

PK UnKorked Wine Shop & Tasting Room - 220 N Main St. Pontiac, IL 61764

• PK UnKorked Wine Shop & Tasting Room has been a premier bar serving Livingston, LaSalle, and McLean Counties since 2017. They offer wine tasting, live music, painting, and much more. 

Sable Creek Winery - 14912 S. Eastern Avenue Unit 103, Plainfield, IL 60544

• Come out to Plainfield to experience the wine at Sable Creek. Along with their diverse selection of wines, groups can also enjoy a night of bingo, trivia, tours, and live music. Sable Creek also offers a membership program as well. Becoming a member earns you discounts on wine, 1 free wine tasting, and an invitation to exclusive member-only events.
