READ ON!This fall, Metra is offering a special Saturday service on its Heritage Corridor Line, running from September 9 through October 14. With three round-trip trains each Saturday, equipped with Metra’s new bike cars, passengers have easy access to bike and running paths, craft breweries, restaurants, and vibrant communities along the historic Illinois & Michigan Canal. This service is an affordable way to explore the region, thanks to the $7 Saturday Pass and Family Fares, which allow up to three children aged 11 and under to ride free with a fare-paying adult.
The special Saturday service on the Heritage Corridor Line will feature three round-trip trains each Saturday, equipped with Metra’s new bike cars, offering convenient transportation between Chicago and Joliet. Along the way, stops will be made starting at Chicago and stopping at Summit, Willow Springs, Lemont, Romeoville, Lockport and Joliet and vice versa providing passengers with easy access to explore the diverse attractions and recreational opportunities in each town.
