Sponsoring community events and promoting tourism such as the Mendota Fireworks Celebration, A Mendota Christmas, and the Mendota Easter Hop. The Mendota Area Chamber of Commerce biggest event of the year is Mendota's Annual Sweet Corn Festival (one of the largest harvest festivals in the Midwest), annually attracting more than 60,000 visitors to Mendota is also an important role of the Chamber. The Chamber office organizes the hundreds of volunteers necessary for this and other smaller events during the year.
The Chamber acts as a community information center, answering a variety of questions daily from the public. The Mendota Chamber is a voice for business, devoted to strengthening the business community, and maintaining the exceptional characteristics of life here in Mendota.
